ABOUT OUR BUILDING PACKAGES
No we don't ship from Texas or Pennsylvania. Unless you're in Texas or Pennsylvania. We use vendors nationwide and source material somewhere in your locale. The package includes all materials required for the structure (unless otherwise specified) less concrete for foundations.

Foundation Posts
Your structure will be supported by the best grade and quality posts treated to UC4B foundation post specifications. 8' and 9' walls are typically specified with 4x6 posts and 6x6 corner posts. 10' - 12' walls use 6x6 posts. Any wall taller than 12' is fitted with a 3 or 4 ply laminated column based upon requirements.

Trusses will be supported on the gable ends by full height gable posts. Full height gable posts make a stronger structure, require less temporary bracing, and are faster to erect.

Trusses, Door Headers, Truss carriers
Your building will be engineered to surpass anticipated loading including all structural and site specific metrics used to ensure proper truss selection, spacing, bracing and of course code compliant or better specifications for truss carriers, door headers, floor joists, hay loft flooring etc.

Metal panels for roofing and wall siding are pre-cut to length. Metal is 29 gauge with a 40 year manufacturer paint warranty. Dimensional lumber ships in various lengths and must be field cut as required. Treated lumber is selected to ensure proper treatment level, quality, and suitability for the structure.

Girts are 2x6 #2 or better rather than typical 2x4. The minor additional cost provides the option to 1) bookshelf girt the walls for strength and or interior framing or 2) nail around the perimeter as dictated by site conditions, post spacing, wall height.

Purlins are 2x4 spaced based upon snow load, truss spacing and dead load conditions.

Bracing material is 2x4 and 2x6 dimensioned lumber for knee bracing, lateral bracing, cross bracing, and wind bracing.

Hardware for your building is included, properly sized and selected for durable use. All nails, panel screws, rafter ties, and anything else required based upon wall siding or other building package selection criteria.

Structural building plans and an illustrated how to guide is included with each building package. Engineer stamped plans available at additional cost.
